About the Parent/Student Portal
Jack Jouett Middle School is pleased to announce the availability of the new Parent/Student Portal. The Parent/Student Portal is a powerful on-line tool for students, parents, and guardians to participate more fully in the educational process.
Parents and students can use the Parent/Student Portal to track the academic progress and attendance for the current year, access teacher recommendations, and make course requests for the upcoming year. Through the Grades and Attendance function, you will be able to check your child's assignments and scores. You may also use the Portal to e-mail a teacher withe a question or concern.
In order for parents or guardians to use the Portal, they first must obtain an Access Key to create an account. An Access Key consists of an Access ID and an Access Password. Access Keys are unique for each student. Anyone with a student's Access Key can access that student's information through the Portal, so protect the ID and password as you would protect other confidential information.
Because of the Access Key's sensitive nature, you must personally pick up your Access Key from the school. We will not mail the Access Keys home, nor share them over the telephone. You may obtain your Access Key at JJMS between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. If ths time frame does not work for your schedule, please call the school at (434) 975-9320 so that we can arrange a conventient time. Only one parent need be present to get the Access Key. Multiple accounts can be created from one Access Key, and more than one person may access a single account. Once you receive your Access Key, you may set up your account. If you do not have internet access, you may use our library computers at your convenience.
Use the instructions to the right to help set up your Parent/Student Portal account. You may also contact Lisa Porter in the Guidance Office at (434) 975-9320, ext. 52020, should you have questions or require assistance at any time.
Students can access the Parent/Student Portal from any internet-connected computer through the link above using their ACPS network username and password. This is the same username and password the student uses to access the computers at JJMS.
